What Does an Automatic Movement Bring to Everyday Life?
A watch with an automatic movement has no battery. A rotor transfers the movement of the wrist into spring tension – the watch winds itself when worn. Anyone who wears it regularly does not have to worry about a thing.
The Zeitgeist Automatik features the Sellita SW200. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), resulting in a smooth, steady sweep of the seconds hand. The power reserve of this timepiece is around 38 hours – if you take the watch off over the weekend, you will find it still running on Monday. The accuracy is -4/+6 seconds per day. The movement is visible through the case back.
Sapphire Crystal – Why It Matters
